Netflix: All New Anime Arrivals in September 2024
Netflix continues to expand its anime catalog in September 2024 with a fresh lineup of series and movies. Here’s a rundown of the titles set to premiere this month.
New Anime in September 2024
On September 1, 2024, the streaming giant will add more episodes of the popular Shonen series “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” to its platform. Following this, on September 16, 2024, the anime classic “Grave of the Fireflies” will be available in various languages.
Additionally, Netflix will release new episodes of “Kinnikuman: Perfect Origin Arc” every Monday, and episodes of the “Egghead Arc” from “One Piece” every Saturday. These will be streamed in the original Japanese audio with German subtitles.

Starting September 1, 2024, new episodes of “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations,” beginning with episode 205, will be available on Netflix in both German and Japanese.

September 16: “Grave of the Fireflies”
The roughly 88-minute anime drama “Grave of the Fireflies” from the renowned Studio Ghibli will be available on Netflix starting September 16, 2024, in multiple languages.
Plot: After a bombing raid in World War II, two orphaned children fight for survival in the Japanese countryside. For Seita and his four-year-old sister, the indifference and helplessness of their fellow citizens are more painful than the enemy attacks.
Their despair, hunger, and sorrow make their lives heartbreakingly fragile, yet their spirit and love are profoundly inspiring.
Every Monday: “Kinnikuman: Perfect Origin Arc”
New episodes of the action-packed anime “Kinnikuman: Perfect Origin Arc” will be available every Monday on Netflix in the original Japanese audio with German subtitles, simulcast with Japan.
Plot: Kinnikuman returns to the ring for an epic battle against the Justice, Devil, and Perfect Chojin factions, revealing the roots of the Chojin.
Every Saturday: “One Piece”
New episodes of the Shonen hit “One Piece” will continue to be released every Saturday at 12:00 p.m. on Netflix, featuring the Japanese version with German subtitles, simulcast with Japan.
Plot: The legendary pirate treasure, “One Piece,” is the ultimate prize for all sailors. This includes Monkey D. Luffy, who has been fascinated by seafaring since childhood.
However, his attempts to join a ship’s crew are always unsuccessful. One day, after eating a Gum-Gum Fruit, his life takes a dramatic turn: while he can no longer swim, his limbs stretch like rubber, giving him unique abilities.
